I'm not a big fan of organized religions, for some of the very obvious reasons stated above.

I'm sickened by this and so many other cases where
the perp blames God, Music, Video Games, Books,
Comics, Twinkies, etc.. It always seems to be
someone or something else's fault. I know what you mean Chaser, I have dark figures, read dark books and comics like Spawn and Punisher,
listen to very dark music, yet I have no desire to hurt anybody unless they pose a threat to me or my family. I'll never understand the kind of brain that could be capable of this type of an act.
I usually avoid the religious threads, cuz they always turn bad. that said, I do work for the United Church, and it really changed my opinion of organized religion. well, of ONE organized religion, anyway.
neither of the ministers have tried to preach to/convert me. I have my own version of faith, so I really appreciate that they respect that. and the people are so nice there, that I actually ENJOY my job...how weird is that??
and one of my bosses, a grandfatherly-type fella, is getting into metal, so I been hooking him up with some music. and he LOVES MUNG!!!

wasnt really going for it to be a religious thread, just a comparison to the things that usually get blamed for causing bad things to happen. more appauled with the broad killing the kids than the fact that the chuch and all supporting her. usaully things with religion in them dont go well on the board, but I dont think its really a debate on religion. It just made me think of my mother saying certain rock and roll bands and such were bad when I was a kid and people blaming them for stuff, when no one goes after the "good book" for causing things.

I believe in god but im not a christian because to be a christan means to be christ like which im not.
My point, don't make any judgements on religous people because of a few morons, i hear you all talking bad about religion when it can be a great thing, if you let it be.
Im not trying to start anything just hate seeing people making their judments of religion off some idiot instead of finding out what it's really all about for yourself, don't let others blind your judgment of what being religous is really all about.
